--- 2 months ago --- 94 notes ---Bethany hails from a family of surfers in Hawaii. In October of 2003, at the age of 13, Bethany lost her arm to a shark attack while surfing off Kauai’s North Shore. Only one month later, she returned to the water and by 2007, she returned to professional surfing. She placed 2nd in the ASP 2009 World Junior Championships. She continues to compete in numerous ASP and World Tour Events.
